As summer draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the exciting news from the Penguin Leisure team over the past few months. It’s been a season full of achievements, new beginnings and special celebrations – the perfect way to round off the summer!

Welcoming Joanna to the Penguin Team

We’re delighted to introduce Joanna Walus, who has joined Penguin Leisure as our new Accounts Assistant.

Joanna brings nearly two years of experience working in accounts, with a strong focus on accuracy and problem-solving to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. What struck us right away is her friendly, positive outlook – we know she’s going to be a fantastic addition to our team and to our customers’ experience with us.

Here’s a little bit from Joanna herself:

“I have nearly two years of experience working in accounts, where I focus on accuracy and effectively solving issues to ensure smooth financial processes. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and taking long walks with my dog.

I am looking forward to being part of the team at Penguin Leisure, helping things run smoothly, and making sure customers have a great experience. I’m also excited to learn new things and grow while supporting my colleagues.”

We’re thrilled to have her on board – welcome, Joanna!

Congratulations to Darren on His New Qualifications

A huge well done to our Swimming Pool Engineer and newest team member, Darren, who has been busy achieving some impressive qualifications this summer. Darren has recently passed his Rescue Diving qualification, which will allow him to assist clients with underwater repairs – an incredible skill that adds real value to our service.

On top of that, he has also completed his Confined Space Training, ensuring our engineers can continue to carry out their work to the highest safety standards. Great work, Darren!

Expanding Skills – Mark’s Progress

Our very own Mark has been dedicated to growing his expertise in the pool industry. He is currently completing an industry-specific home study course that will allow him to become a fully qualified Technician.

In addition, Mark is now trained and equipped to carry out pressure testing on swimming pools. This will give us more insight into our clients’ pools and help us resolve leaks quickly and efficiently. Another fantastic step forward for the team!

A Summer Wedding to Celebrate

Finally, the whole Penguin Leisure team would like to say a huge congratulations to our Contracts Manager, Bill Simpson, and his wife Rossella, who celebrated their Italian wedding ceremony this summer. It was a truly special occasion, and we couldn’t be happier for such a wonderful couple. We wish them both all the very best for their future together.

It’s been a brilliant summer for Penguin Leisure, with new skills, new faces and memorable milestones. Here’s to an exciting autumn ahead!
